إن هذا القرآن الذي أنزلناه على عبدنا محمد يرشد الناس إلى أحسن الطرق، وهي ملة الإسلام، ويبشر المؤمنين الذين يعملون بما أمرهم الله به، وينتهون عمَّا نهاهم عنه، بأن لهم ثوابًا عظيمًا، وأن الذين لا يصدقون بالدار الآخرة وما فيها من الجزاء أعددنا لهم عذابًا موجعًا في النار.
17:9
«و» يخبر «أن الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة أعتدنا» أعددنا «لهم عذابا أليما» مؤلما هو النار.
وأن الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة أي ويبشرهم بأن لأعدائهم العقاب . والقرآن معظمه وعد ووعيد . وقرأ حمزة والكسائي ويبشر مخففا بفتح الياء وضم الشين ; وقد ذكر .
( وأن الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة أعتدنا لهم عذابا أليما ( وهو النار .
{ وأن الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة } عطف على { أن لهم أجرا كبيرا } لأنه من جملة البشارة ، إذ المراد بالذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة مشركو قريش وهم أعداء المؤمنين ، فلا جرم أن عذاب العدو بشارة لمن عاداه .والاقتصار على هذين الفريقين هو مقتضى المقام لمناسبة تكذيب المشركين بالإسراء فلا غرض في الإعلام بحال أهل الكتاب .
