“He said: As for him who doeth wrong, we shall punish him, and then he will be brought back unto his Lord, Who will punish him with awful punishment!”

قال ذو القرنين: أمَّا مَن ظلم نفسه منهم فكفر بربه، فسوف نعذبه في الدنيا، ثم يرجع إلى ربه، فيعذبه عذابًا عظيمًا في نار جهنم.
18:85
«قال أما من ظلم» بالشرك «فسوف نعذبه» نقتله «ثم يُرد إلى ربه فيعذبه عذابا نكرا» بسكون الكاف وضمها شديدا في النار.
قَالَ أَمَّا مَنْ ظَلَمَأي من أقام على الكفر منكم .فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُأي بالقتل .ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَى رَبِّهِأي يوم القيامة .فَيُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا نُكْرًاأي شديدا في جهنم .
( قال أما من ظلم ) أي : كفر ( فسوف نعذبه ) أي : نقتله ( ثم يرد إلى ربه ) في الآخرة ( فيعذبه عذابا نكرا ) أي : منكرا يعني بالنار ، والنار أنكر من القتل .
ثم حكى الله - تعالى - عنه فى الجواب ما يدل على سلامة تفكيره ، فقال : ( قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ .. ) أى : قال ذو القرنين فى الرد على تخيير ربه له فى شأن هؤلاء القوم ، يا رب : أما من ظلم نفسه بالإِصرار على الكفر والفسوق والعصيان ( فسوف نعذبه ) فى هذه الدنيا بالقتل وما يشبهه . ثم يرد هذا الظالم نفسه إلى ربه - سبحانه - فيعذبه فى الآخرة عذابا ( نكرا ) أى : عذابا فظيعا عظيما منكرا وهو عذاب جهنم .
